Written on piano upon learning of mass killing on a Sunday that also coincided with a rare astronomical event called a planet requiem.
Oceans Return
This piece opens with sounds of the Pacific Ocean crashing on the beaches in California. I recorded the ocean soundscape to open and close the song. The song phrasing rolls the fifth into the first chord of the progression to give it a cascading effect.
